DCG Standard Card Grading Scale

GEM 10: The card’s attributes must include sharp focus, 55/45 or better centering, 4 sharp corners, no stains, and surface gloss fully intact with no scratches or marks. Both front and back of the card has no imperfections or damage upon a close look. Grade must include Sub-Grades and all 4 must be a 10.

GEM-MT 10: The card’s attributes must include sharp focus, 60/40 or better centering, 4 sharp corners, no stains, and surface gloss fully intact with no scratches or marks.  Minor printer errors are allowable if it does not affect the overall focus of the card. Both front and back of the card has no imperfections or damage upon a close look.

MT 9: The card’s attributes must include sharp focus, 60/40 or better centering, sharp corners, no stains, or surface gloss fully intact with minor scratches or marks.

NM-MT 8: The card’s attributes that appear that of a Mint 9 but upon closer examination minor flaws are noticed.  These flaws may include minor edging and corner frays or minor printing imperfections.

NM 7: A Near Mint 7 card’s attributes include slight edge and corner fray, minor scratches only noticeable at close examination, and minor smudges only on the back of the card.

EX-NM 6: The card’s edges and corners may have of some wear and fray, the overall gloss might have some slight scratches upon close examination, and there may be slight notches on the edges of the card.

EX 5: The card’s gloss may be worn and scratches that do not take away from the focus on the card.  There may be chips along the edges of the card and the corners are starting to round, with minor fraying.

VG-EX 4: A card with slight surface wear and slightly rounded edges.  A light crease or light tear may exist.  The edges may show whitening

VG 3: A card’s attributes include not excessive corner rounding, and a weaker gloss or focus.  A crease may exist. 

GOOD 2: The original card color is faded or loss. Corners are rounded and edges having frayed.  Noticeable creases, focus imperfections, surface scratches, and markings.

POOR 1: The card has serious surface damages including: heavy creases, color imperfections, tears, and markings.  Small portions of the card may be missing.  The edges and corners are rounded and frayed.

Off Centering ( OC )

The card’s centering is worse than 70/30. The other attributes; Surface, Corners, Edges, will be graded to determine the card’s condition minus the Centering. Then the Off Centering error may be applied to the Grade.

Dragon Collectibles Grading, DCG, grades the quality of a cards paper stock and appearance.
Providing authentication is challenging and not guaranteed due to improved methods of printing.  Size requirements for collectible cards are the standard size plus or minus 2.5 mm.  Collectible cards fitting this criteria will be graded.
